WordPress & SEO Content Specialist (AI Tools)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented WordPress, SEO & AI Content Specialist to manage website content, support on-page and local SEO, and create high-quality content using AI tools.

The ideal candidate can balance WordPress management, SEO optimization, content creation, and visual presentation while maintaining accuracy and consistency across multiple websites and locations.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours (but with a fixed time meeting with the client from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, US Eastern Time, 40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• WordPress & Website Management
• Create, edit, format, and publish website pages and content in WordPress or similar CMS.
• Maintain consistent layouts, formatting, images, and website presentation.
• Upload and optimize images and website assets.
• Perform basic website updates and troubleshoot minor content or formatting issues.
• Review pages for accuracy, usability, readability, and consistency.
• On-Page SEO
• Optimize titles, meta descriptions, headers, URLs, and website content.
• Apply keyword optimization based on search intent.
• Implement internal linking strategies.
• Optimize images with appropriate alt text.
• Review pages for SEO best practices and identify improvement opportunities.
• Local SEO
• Create and maintain local business directory and citation listings.
• Ensure business information is accurate and consistent across directories.
• Conduct basic local keyword research.
• Support local landing page optimization.
• Identify and correct citation inconsistencies.
• AI-Assisted Content
• Use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools to research, draft, expand, and optimize content.
• Create effective AI prompts for different content and SEO requirements.
• Edit and fact-check AI-generated content for accuracy, natural tone, readability, and brand alignment.
• Optimize content for search intent and user engagement.
• Develop repeatable AI-assisted workflows to improve content production efficiency.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in WordPress, SEO, digital marketing, content management, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress or a similar CMS.
• Good understanding of website layout, formatting, design, and user experience.
• Working knowledge of on-page SEO, including Meta titles and descriptions, header tags, internal linking, keyword optimization, image alt text, and SEO-friendly content structure
• Familiarity with local SEO and business directory citations.
• Experience using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI tools.
• Strong written English, grammar, spelling, and readability.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and SEO strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar SEO tools.
• Experience with Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, or other WordPress page builders.
• Familiarity with local SEO and citation management platforms.
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
• Experience creating location-specific landing or service pages.
• Experience managing multiple websites or producing content at scale.
