About The Role

Lyzr is hiring a Video Editor to turn raw footage, screen recordings, and storyboards into videos people actually watch to the end. This is a hands-on role for someone who edits for retention, not for effects — who can look at a clip and tell you which three seconds are the only three that matter. You'll work closely with the Marketing team on everything from product demos to brand storytelling.

What You'll Do

• Edit raw footage — including screen-recorded product demos — into polished, watchable videos.
• Turn storyboards and narratives into compelling, well-paced final cuts.
• Use AI tools for transcript-based cuts, captions, clean-up, upscaling, and generated B-roll, applying judgment on when they help versus hurt the cut.
• Own your assignments end-to-end, from first cut through final delivery.
• Flag risks, blockers, or resourcing needs early, and manage upward when you need input or approvals.

Must-Haves

• You cut for retention, not for effects.
• You can point at a clip and say which three seconds are the only three that matter.
• Fluent in at least one professional editing tool, and fast in it.
• Comfortable with screen-recorded product footage, which is harder to make watchable than it looks.
• Working knowledge of the latest AI tools used in editing — for transcript-based cuts, captions, clean-up, upscaling, and generated B-roll — and the judgement to know when they hurt the cut.
• High agency: you take complete ownership of what's assigned to you and carry it all the way through.
• Comfortable managing upward, asking for what you need, and flagging problems early.
