Designday is a design and technology studio working across UX/UI design, product strategy, digital experiences, and AI-powered design workflows.

We are looking for UX/UI Design Interns who are curious about digital products and want to build a strong foundation in product design and user experience.

Role Description

As a UX/UI Designer, you will work with our design and product team to understand how digital products are structured and how users move through different screens, flows, and scenarios.

• You will be trained to analyse mobile and web applications, understand user journeys, identify UX patterns, organise product screens, and document different product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and study mobile apps, websites, and digital products
• Understand user journeys, flows, screens, and different usage scenarios
• Identify common UX patterns and UI components
• Organise and document product screens and design references
• Support UX research, competitor analysis, and product benchmarking
• Assist designers with wireframes, UI references, and design documentation
• Work in Figma and collaborate with the design team
• Maintain accuracy and consistency while documenting product experiences
• Skills we are looking for
• Basic understanding of UX/UI and product design
• Familiarity with Figma
• Good understanding of mobile and web applications, flows , customer journeys
• Curiosity about how digital products work
• Strong attention to detail & thoughtful problem solving approach
• Ability to understand user flows and screen relationships
• Willingness to learn and research independently
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Who can Apply
• Students, recent graduates, or beginners pursuing UX/UI Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Previous internship experience is not mandatory. A presentable portfolio is mandatory, and design project, or UX/UI coursework can be preferred.
• What you will learn
• You will be trained to understand & design digital products beyond visual design, including apps, user flows, journeys, screens, scenarios, UX patterns, product structures, benchmarking, and real-world design systems.
• Internship Details & Compensation
• This is a 4-month, in-office internship based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The first month will be an unpaid training and onboarding period. From the second month onward, interns will receive a stipend starting from ₹5,000 per month, based on performance, consistency, and contribution.
• High-performing interns may also be considered for future opportunities & will be offered a full time employment opportunity at Designday.
