UI/UX Designer

Company Description Edza AI is an AI-powered personal tutoring platform for Indian learners in classes 7–12 and competitive exams like JEE and NEET, focused on delivering scalable one-to-one attention. The product uses context-aware tutoring pipelines to keep explanation, testing, memory, and feedback in sync, enabling continuous adaptation and long-term learning memory. Edza combines tools such as real-time text-to-animation explanations, adaptive tests, and board-style answer evaluation to mirror how strong personal tutors teach and assess. Learners benefit from 1:1 voice calls in multiple Indian languages, collaborative whiteboard problem-solving, and personalized notes built from their own mistakes and patterns. The company aligns with NEP 2020 goals by reducing student–teacher ratios through AI while preserving depth of attention.

Role Description As a UI/UX Designer at Edza AI, you will design intuitive, accessible interfaces that support learners, tutors, and internal stakeholders across web and mobile experiences. In this full-time remote role, you will translate product requirements and user research into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity visual designs that reflect Edza’s brand and pedagogy. You will create interactive prototypes to validate ideas, conduct usability testing, and iterate based on qualitative and quantitative feedback from students and tutors. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and subject experts to ensure designs are technically feasible and pedagogically sound, contributing to a cohesive, learner-centered design system. You will also support handoff to front-end development by preparing design specifications and assets and partnering with developers to refine implementation details.

Qualifications

• Strong user experience design skills, including User Experience Design (UED) for web and mobile, user flows, and information architecture.
• Proficiency in visual design and mockups, using modern design tools to create clear, engaging, and accessible interfaces.
• Ability to build interactive prototypes to test concepts, refine interactions, and communicate design intent to stakeholders.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of front-end development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to ensure designs are implementable and responsive.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing, particularly with student or consumer-facing products.
• Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and best practices for inclusive and responsive design.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work remotely across cross-functional teams and time zones.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Fine Arts, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; edtech or AI product experience is a plus.
