About the role

People rarely praise a well-designed screen, because a good design gets out of the way and lets them finish what they came to do. Getting there takes research, sketching, testing and a lot of small decisions. As a UI/UX Design Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will learn how those decisions are made. You will study how real users behave, turn what you learn into wireframes and prototypes, and hand over designs that developers can build without guessing.

This is a hands-on, full-time remote internship for people who care about how products feel to use and are ready to defend their design choices with reasons, not just taste.

What you will do

• Research user needs through simple interviews, surveys and competitor reviews
• Create user flows, wireframes and low-fidelity sketches to explore ideas quickly
• Build high-fidelity screens and interactive prototypes in Figma
• Design consistent layouts using colour, typography, spacing and reusable components
• Run basic usability tests and improve designs based on what you observe
• Check designs for accessibility basics such as contrast, text size and tap targets
• Prepare clean design files and hand-off notes for developers
• Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for

• Working knowledge of Figma (frames, auto layout, components, prototyping)
• Understanding of basic design principles such as hierarchy, alignment, contrast and consistency
• A small portfolio, case study or a few design samples, even from practice projects
• Familiarity with tools like Figma Community resources, Miro or Whimsical is a plus
• Basic HTML and CSS knowledge is a plus, not a must
• Empathy for users and a good eye for detail
• A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work

Who can apply

• Students or recent graduates from B.Des, BFA, B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT, Multimedia, Animation), MCA, diploma programs or any stream with strong design skills
• Self-taught designers who can show their skills through a Behance or Dribbble profile, a portfolio or a case study
• Anyone available to work full-time for the internship duration
