The Documentation Gap

A high-growth, venture-backed SaaS company is hiring its founding India documentation team and has partnered with Flexiple to bring on its first dedicated Technical Writer. The product has outgrown its docs — support tickets repeat questions the help centre should already answer, and every release ships faster than the documentation can keep up. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.

• What You'll Own
• Documentation & Content
• Write and maintain user guides, API references, release notes, and in-app help content
• Turn engineering specs and product briefs into documentation a non-technical user can follow
• Audit existing docs for gaps, outdated screens, and broken steps, and fix them on a rolling basis
• Process & Partnership
• Sit in sprint planning and release reviews to catch documentation needs before launch, not after
• Work directly with engineers, product managers, and support to source accurate detail
• Set and maintain a style guide so every writer who joins later sounds consistent
• What Makes You a Fit
• 2 to 6 years writing technical or product documentation, ideally for software
• A portfolio of published docs, guides, or API references you can walk through
• Comfort reading a spec or sitting through a technical walkthrough and asking the right questions
• Clear written English and a reliable remote-work setup

Good to Have

• Familiarity with a docs-as-code workflow or a tool like Git, Markdown, or a headless CMS
• Basic understanding of APIs and how developers read reference documentation
• Experience setting up a documentation structure from close to scratch
