Job Purpose

To support SH Civil in implementation of planned operation and maintenance activities related to colony and projects within targeted time and budget to meet business targets and customer satisfaction.

Job Context

Vikram Cement is located at Jawad in Madhya Pradesh. It has 3 operating lines with the total installed capacity of 2.5 million ton per annum which has been further expanded to 3.0 million ton per annum thro de-bottlenecking of all the three production lines.

Main equipments for Line no.1 and Line No.2 was supplied by M/s KHD Humboldt Wedag Ltd., Germany, M/s Loesche and for Line No.3 by M/s Krupp Polysius, Germany with Roller Press Technology in Pregrinding circuit and high efficiency separator in Raw Mill and Cement Mill. For better control of quality of Input Limestone Gamma Matrix has been installed at Limestone Transport belt.The technical know how and packers are supplied by M/S Haver & Bocker, Germany for line I, II & M/S Enexco for line III, having capacity of 90 TPH, 90 TPH & 180 TPH respectively.

Job Challenges

• Remote Location and isolated facilities.
• Weather conditions affects aging of structures.
• Proper planning and execution of Civil works on time is the challenge because of unavailability of regular and skilled workforce and Floating Local Manpower.
• Execute maintenance, modifications, restoration/ rehabitation of civil structures and project civil works in plant at the optimum cost.
• To help other departments during the shutdown / performance of production in running condition with space and time constant

KRA1 Maintenance & operation Activities Execution of preventive & corrective maintenance activities.

• Ensure periodic checking.
• Manpower planning in advance for daily jobs.
• Planning and procurement of advanced good quality tools and tackles for fast execution of jobs.
• Eliminating non value adding activities.
• Maintaining proper housekeeping and following good maintenance practices.
• Ensuring smooth operation of carpentry workshop.

KRA2 MIS/ Management Reports - Compiling and preparing accurate and timely data of the section.

• Keeping all updated data ready for various assessment and Audit and clear the same without any major NC.
• Ensuring compliance of our various software’s like Colony maintenance on timely basis.

KRA3 4.Cost Control (Spare, lubrication, Manpower cost & inventory) - Planning of spare parts and raising indent for procurement as per requirement.

• Inspection of materials from reputed suppliers as per OEM requirement for achieving longer life of equipment.
• Close monitoring on worker’s overtime.
• Minimize leakages and wastages.
• Identification of maintenance cost reduction parameters.

KRA4 System Management (Effective implementation of all IMS and other systems requirements through involvement for continuous improvement in plant working condition & quality standards) -To implement improvement project to reduce repetitive problems/breakdown or losses.

• Timely submission of Kaizen, OPL, Good to fine, suggestion on system
• Developing and sustaining Model area in respective sections
• 100% active participation in respective KFA & GRT meetings and giving inputs related to bring new technology, innovation and improvements towards productivity. Conduct awareness programs down the level team
• To know about IMS and other systems requirement and documents for Non-Conformity in section during internal and external audits or assessments.
• Implementation of critical spares & consumable SOP without any defilement
• Identify & arrange rectification of leakage points/unsafe points along with monitor & take corrective action for emission levels.

KRA5 Focus on SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives ? Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.

• Educating team about “I know my job”, “I know the hazards associated with my job and I applied control measures” & “I escalate to my senior” among manpower deployed in sections/department manpower including peer, WB & CL manpower
• Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
• To conduct daily Tool Box Talk as schedule and before start the job any critical job along with SWP
• Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
• Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc. and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action
• Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site
• Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.
