Sr. Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Serve as a senior quality engineer responsible for designing automating and executing robust test solutions for enterprise applications using Java Selenium RestAssured and TestNG. Drive high reliability of digital products in a hybrid work model ensuring secure and seamless user journeys with added advantage if experienced in cards and payments domain.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test strategies that cover functional regression integration compatibility and end to end flows for complex enterprise applications built on Java technology stack using a hybrid work arrangement
• Develop scalable and maintainable automated test frameworks using Selenium and TestNG that enable rapid feedback and support continuous integration pipelines for high quality releases
• Implement robust RestAssured based API automation suites that validate request and response structures status codes and business rules for internal and external services
• Execute detailed manual and automated test scenarios that cover happy path boundary negative and exploratory cases while carefully documenting steps data and observed outcomes
• Analyze test results and defect patterns to identify systemic quality gaps then collaborate with engineers to propose practical improvements in code test data and environment configuration
• Collaborate closely with product owners business analysts and developers to refine acceptance criteria clarify edge cases and ensure that stories and features are fully testable before development starts
• Create and maintain high quality test data and environment configurations that mirror production scenarios ensuring reliable reproducibility of issues without disrupting other project teams
• Contribute to performance and reliability checks by designing lightweight scripts or scenarios that uncover latency bottlenecks timeouts and resource constraints in critical business workflows
• Coordinate with DevOps or platform teams to integrate automated tests into build pipelines so that quality gates prevent defective code from reaching higher environments or customers
• Document clear reproducible defect reports with relevant logs screenshots and execution context so that engineers can quickly isolate root causes and deliver effective fixes
• Mentor junior quality engineers by reviewing their test designs automation code and defect reports while promoting consistent engineering standards and continuous learning practices
• Partner with stakeholders from cards and payments or related financial services when applicable to validate domain specific rules such as transaction flows authorization checks and settlement conditions
• Communicate concise and data driven quality status updates including risk assessments defect trends and release readiness indicators to relevant project members during day shifts in a hybrid environment

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong hands on proficiency in Java programming including object oriented design reusable utilities and debugging techniques applied to test automation projects
• Exhibit advanced experience using Selenium for web application testing including page interaction synchronization handling dynamic elements and maintaining robust locator strategies
• Apply solid working knowledge of TestNG including annotations test suites data providers and reporting features to structure reliable and readable automation suites
• Show proven expertise in RestAssured for testing RESTful services including request specification response validation schema checks and authentication mechanisms
• Display sound understanding of software testing principles including test design techniques defect life cycle risk based testing and continuous quality practices within agile teams
• Bring prior exposure to cards and payments or similar financial services where test scenarios involve transaction lifecycles fraud checks limits and compliance rules even if gained on a smaller scale
• Adapt effectively to a hybrid work model by using collaboration tools clear written communication and structured updates to keep distributed team members aligned on quality goals
