Sr Production Planner

Job Description

The role serves as a key link between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Capacity Planning
• Evaluate manufacturing capacity and resource utilization by RCCP. Perform RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity Planning in Rapid Response.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve throughput.
• Maintain labor constraints in Rapid Response and ensure constraints are loaded for 12 months rolling.
• Production Planning & Scheduling
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term (Daily, weekly and Monthly) production plans.
• Create and optimize manufacturing schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
• Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans to address changes in demand, material availability, or production issues.
• Execute exceptional demand cleanup.
• Clean up Past Due Firmed Orders.
• Demand & Supply Management
• Review CTB Tactical View.
• Review demand and collaborate with Demand Planning teams.
• Analyze supply constraints, update in Rapid Response and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure timely availability of materials and components through coordination with Procurement and Supplier teams. RM Components to be reviewed as per Jolly Roger tool
• Support SIOP activities.
• Participate in SIOE Review meetings.
• Participate in Supply review meetings.
• Inventory Management
• Monitor finished goods, raw materials, and work-in-process inventory.
• Identify excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory and discuss corrective actions with store, demand planning, offering, finance team
• Drive inventory optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate with production teams to balance workloads across manufacturing lines.
• Review RM and Sub Assembly PFEP
• Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze production performance and key supply chain metrics.
• Use ERP/MRP, Rapid Response to manage planning activities.
• Develop recommendations based on data-driven insights.
• Resolve routing validation issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service teams.
• Ensure Headcount availability and approval from global as per the requirement
• Participate in HMX, continuous improvement projects.
• Support NPI, business continuity and risk management planning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management / Operations / Engineering/ Business, or related field.
• 5-10+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response, SAP, (MRP/ERP systems)
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with forecasting, inventory management, and capacity planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
