About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EDI Java-SQL Developer with expertise in AI-Azure to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in developing and enhancing healthcare EDI features, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and quality engineering teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on impactful healthcare projects, utilizing advanced technologies such as Azure cloud services and AI-assisted development tools to optimize productivity and innovation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 10+ years of relevant software development experience, with a strong background in Java, SQL, and healthcare integrations. Proven expertise in EDI development, particularly within healthcare environments, is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with healthcare-specific transactions such as 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277. Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure is required. Additionally, experience working in Agile methodologies and utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Azure will be highly advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills are also essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance healthcare EDI features based on backlog requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand user stories, translate requirements into technical solutions, and ensure delivery aligns with project goals.
• Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Java, SQL, APIs, and integration technologies, focusing on healthcare EDI transactions and workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and defects to maintain high system reliability and performance.
• Work closely with Quality Engineering teams during testing phases, supporting defect resolution and validation efforts.
• Participate actively in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demo sessions to ensure timely delivery of features.
• Deploy new features and updates into production environments, utilizing Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, quality, and innovation.
• Maintain documentation of technical designs, system configurations, and development processes for future reference and compliance.
