About the role

Every app, dashboard and report depends on a database, and a database is only as useful as the queries that talk to it. As a SQL Developer Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will write the queries that fetch, shape and protect the data our teams rely on. You will work with real tables and real business questions, and you will learn why one query runs in a second while another takes a minute.

This is a hands-on, full-time remote internship for people who enjoy logic, structure and getting the answer exactly right.

What you will do

• Write SQL queries using joins, subqueries, aggregations and window functions
• Create views, stored procedures and functions for recurring tasks
• Design and normalise small database structures with proper keys and relationships
• Find slow queries and improve them using indexes and better query design
• Prepare clean data extracts for reporting and analytics teams
• Check data for duplicates, missing values and inconsistencies
• Document table structures and queries so others can reuse them
• Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for

• Strong SQL basics (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, subqueries)
• Working knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server
• Understanding of primary keys, foreign keys and normalisation
• Knowledge of indexes and query execution plans is a plus, not a must
• Basic Excel or Python skills are a plus
• A logical, careful approach to problem solving
• A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work

Who can apply

• Students or recent graduates from B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), MCA, B.Com or any stream with strong SQL skills
• Self-taught learners who can show their skills through practice projects, HackerRank or LeetCode profiles, or certifications
• Anyone available to work full-time for the internship duration
