About the role
- Assist in managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems (BMS). Monitor performance and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, manage reactive work orders, and ensure all technical activities meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Manage relationships with service providers, obtain competitive quotes, and supervise contractor work to ensure quality delivery within budget.
- Ensure building operations comply with local codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Respond promptly to tenant technical requests, conduct proactive site inspections, and maintain positive occupant relationships.
- Support operational and capital budget development, track maintenance expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in after-hours emergency callout rotation and coordinate rapid response to critical building system failures or incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment warranties, and inspection logs. Prepare regular performance reports for management.
- Supervise technical staff and subcontractors, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure proper training on safety protocols.
- Support energy efficiency programs, monitor utility consumption, and assist in implementing sustainability measures to reduce operational costs.
