Role Overview

We are looking for a Strategic Project Lead – Software Engineering to lead large-scale software engineering data programs and ensure predictable delivery across quality, throughput, contributor performance, timelines, and cost.

The role combines technical leadership with program and operations management, supporting initiatives such as coding demonstrations, repository-level tasks, agentic trajectories, RL environments, benchmarks, code reviews, and rubric-based evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program delivery across scope, quality, timelines, throughput, performance, and cost.
• Design and optimize workflows for coding datasets, benchmarks, agentic tasks, RL environments, and technical evaluations.
• Lead distributed teams and contributor networks, potentially involving 100–1,000+ software engineers.
• Build team-lead, reviewer, onboarding, training, and quality-control structures.
• Analyze quality signals, datasets, defects, bottlenecks, and operational metrics to identify root causes.
• Partner with talent teams to source, assess, onboard, and ramp technical contributors.
• Act as a key customer-facing contact, communicating progress, risks, quality trends, and recovery plans.
• Translate research objectives into practical technical task specifications and challenge requirements when needed.
• Use Python, SQL, or similar tools for quality sampling, defect analysis, reporting, and operational reviews.
• Develop reusable playbooks, evaluation assets, quality controls, and contributor-management systems.
• Mentor other program and project leads and drive continuous operational improvement.
