Science Lab Instructor

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology practical sessions.
• Assist teachers and students during laboratory experiments and demonstrations.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
• Keep laboratory records, stock registers, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Enforce laboratory safety rules and ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure laboratory cleanliness and safety.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Support science exhibitions, projects, competitions, and other academic activities.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and laboratory safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
• Diploma or certification in Laboratory Technology is preferred.
• Prior experience in a school, college, or research laboratory is an advantage.

• May be required to support science fairs, practical examinations, and extracurricular science activities.
