About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Career Counsellor to join our expanding US IT staffing team in Chennai, Perungudi. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about career development, recruitment, and client engagement. As a Career Counsellor, you will serve as a vital link between IT professionals seeking new opportunities and our clients' staffing requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to understand candidates' skills, career aspirations, and preferences, and to align these with suitable job openings in the US IT sector. You will work closely with recruiters, account managers, and candidates to facilitate a seamless hiring process, ensuring both client satisfaction and candidate success. This position provides a platform for professional growth in a dynamic, target-driven environment with comprehensive training and support.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, IT, or a related field. Prior experience in US staffing, IT recruitment, or technical recruitment is preferred but not mandatory, as freshers with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in recruitment are encouraged to apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships. Candidates should demonstrate good understanding of candidate sourcing techniques, familiarity with job portals such as Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, and LinkedIn, and an eagerness to learn US staffing terminology and processes. Basic knowledge of US work authorization types like W2, C2C, and 1099 will be advantageous. The role requires a proactive attitude, strong coordination skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during US shifts (CST).

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include connecting with IT professionals to understand their skills, career goals, and preferences. You will identify suitable job opportunities that match candidate profiles and client requirements, sourcing candidates through various platforms and internal databases. Conducting resume reviews and initial discussions to assess qualifications and expectations is vital. Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle ensures a positive experience and successful placements. You will coordinate interview schedules, gather feedback, and facilitate communication between candidates and clients. Additionally, maintaining accurate candidate data in internal systems is crucial for tracking and reporting. You will learn and apply US staffing concepts such as W2, C2C, 1099, and work authorization, aiming to meet daily and weekly sourcing and candidate submission targets. Collaborating with senior team members to support client needs and continuous learning about industry trends are also part of your responsibilities.
