About Josh Talks

We believe voice will be the primary interface between humans and machines. We build benchmarks, datasets, and foundational speech models, including State Space Models (SSMs) in places where Transformers fall short. Our goal is speech AI that feels natural: under 200 ms latency and under 5% word error rate (WER).

We're a small, fast team. Every decision is measured, documented, and shipped with intent.

The Role

You'll keep research, engineering, and operations in lockstep. You'll support roadmap execution, draft PRDs, design flows in Figma, and help every release ship cleanly and on time.

What You'll Do

• Help own and track the product roadmap across teams
• Draft and edit PRDs, user stories, and release notes that are clear, complete, and unambiguous
• Design and iterate on flows and UI in Figma (clarity over polish)
• Surface and resolve blockers, and track dependencies, risks, and status
• Test builds, log issues, verify fixes, and audit edge, empty, and error states
• Report outcomes and learnings, and feed them back into the roadmap
• What You Should Have
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail
• Basic Figma skills and comfort with user flows
• Understanding of PRDs, product metrics, and QA basics
• Strong organization and follow-through; you keep docs current
• Availability for 6 to 12 months, full-time

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AI, speech, or data products, or internal tools
• Familiarity with Notion, Linear, Jira, or similar
