Powder Coating Engineer

Job Requirements

A dynamic Powder Coating Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in Powder Coating, Liquid Painting, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Process Improvement, CAPA, and 8D problem-solving. The role will be responsible for achieving quality, productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement targets in paint shop operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Paint Shop Operations
• Manage Powder Coating and Liquid Painting processes to meet quality and production targets.
• Monitor coating quality parameters such as DFT, adhesion, gloss, curing, and appearance.
• Optimize paint and powder consumption while minimizing defects and rework.
• Ensure smooth operation of pretreatment systems, paint booths, and curing ovens.

Process Improvement & Lean Manufacturing

• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen, 5S, and productivity improvement projects.
• Analyze process performance and implement cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives.
• Improve OEE, throughput, and overall paint shop efficiency.
• Quality & Problem Solving
• Lead root cause analysis for customer complaints and internal quality issues.
• Prepare and implement CAPA plans to prevent recurrence of defects.
• Conduct 8D investigations and corrective actions for quality concerns.
• Develop and maintain process control plans and quality standards.
• TPM & Maintenance
• Support TPM implementation and preventive maintenance activities.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure optimum utilization of assets.
• Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards and safe handling of paints, chemicals, and powder materials.
• Maintain adherence to quality systems, environmental regulations, and workplace safety requirements.

Qualification
