About the role

Job Title: Pharmacy Operations Intern (Inventory, Documentation, Medication Records)

Company: Medinex Workforce

Location: India

Workplace Type: Remote

Employment Type: Full-time internship

Duration: 1 to 3 months

Stipend: INR 16,500 per month Why this role exists

Medinex Workforce places skilled people in healthcare organisations, including hospital and retail pharmacies, and a pharmacy works well only when the right medicine is in stock, stored correctly and recorded properly. As a Pharmacy Operations Intern, you will learn how that system runs behind the counter. You will study medicine categories, stock control and documentation, and see how good record keeping protects both patients and pharmacies. This is a remote, learning-based role. It does not involve dispensing medicines or handling patients. It focuses on operations knowledge, inventory records, documentation and reporting.

  • Your day-to-day
  • Study medicine categories, generic and brand names, dosage forms and storage requirements
  • Learn the basics of medication management, including labelling, expiry tracking and safe handling
  • Maintain stock registers, reorder lists and expiry alerts using Excel or pharmacy software
  • Prepare purchase records, sales records and daily pharmacy documentation
  • Learn record-keeping rules for prescription and regulated medicines
  • Check records for mismatches, missing entries and near-expiry stock, and flag them early
  • Prepare simple operations reports for the team

You are a good fit if

  • You have basic knowledge of pharmacology, medicine names and pharmacy practice
  • You have a D.Pharm, B.Pharm or life science background
  • You are comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets for records and inventory tracking
  • You are accurate, responsible and detail-focused
  • You respect patient privacy and professional ethics
  • You have a laptop and a stable internet connection for full-time remote work

Nice to have, not required

  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software
  • Prior exposure to a retail or hospital pharmacy through training or an internship
  • Who can apply
  • Final-year students and recent graduates with D.Pharm, B.Pharm, Pharm.D, M.Pharm, B.Sc or M.Sc (Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology) or related allied health streams
  • Freshers are welcome, and prior work experience is not required
  • You must be available to work full-time for the internship period

What you get

  • Practical understanding of pharmacy operations and inventory control
  • Regular guidance and feedback from experienced team members
  • Documentation and inventory skills you can talk about in future interviews
  • Internship completion certificate
  • The freedom to work from your own city anywhere in India
