Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which India plays a critical role. We have taken over this market from our distributors, so that we can run them directly and drive strong growth, behind innovation and investments.

As we continue to grow, we are excited to add a Manufacturing Engineer to our India team.

Position Overview

• Support ME activities to be successful for each new project and be on time, on quality and on delivery.
• Support new technology and new process development
• Design/define manufacturable/ controllable /stable process
• LOCATION: Bengaluru, India
• Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:
• Build SharkNinja's India manufacturing– from layout and trial runs through to mass production.
• Own manufacturing engineering for the India programme end to end, with direct visibility to India and APAC leadership.
• Work alongside global engineering and quality teams, and supply partners, on a high-growth consumer brand.
• Shape the localisation roadmap as India operations scale up.

Responsibilities

• Set up ME department strategy and plan, work with team to achieve the target
• Work with internal team to support new project launch successfully on quality/ on time delivery/ On quantity
• Lead and guide OEM suppliers follow SharkNinja requirement for production readiness
• Allocated resource to support each project, coordinate OEM supplier resource allocation to make sure each projected get fully and enough support
• Work with NPD Quality team/SN engineering to identify NUDD(New, Unique, Different, Difficult) process and give support on new technology and new process, ensure new process and new technology is manufacturable and process is controllable
• Take responsibility for design for manufacturing, assembly, rework, testing etc. (DFM, DFA, DFR, DFT etc.) \
• Lead and work with team to develop VAVE (Value analysis and Value engineering) activity to simple assembly process at prototype stage
• Develop on-line testing design concept and support OEM factory to achieve on-line testing
• Support line efficiency improvement and automation machine implemented

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Development and New Product Introduction (on manufacturing engineering function with basic quality knowledge), experience in high volume manufacturing
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electronics assembly, manufacturing Efficiencies, advanced quality improvement techniques;
• Good knowledge of line set up/ production document, DFM (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Experience of automation or on-line testing developing background will be a plus.
• Good communications and interpersonal skills: presents ideas in a style that is clear, fluent and to-the-point.
• Demonstrated high level of engagement and self-motivation.
• Demonstrated decision making capability: uses logic and insight to solve Quality System problems and create effective solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering with 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering
• Good experience in Manufacturing Engineering process (assembly, efficiency, quality control)
• Good experience in fixture design/ online testing design
• Good coordination skills and teamwork spirit
• Willingness towards business travel
