About the role
- Responsible for overseeing the malt pot distillation process, including mashing, fermentation, and operating pot still/column still equipment.
- Utilize knowledge of ethanol/spirit production process to ensure quality and efficiency in operations.
- Monitor and control distillation parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow to maintain consistency.
- Implement PLC/DCS-based process control systems for optimal performance.
- Conduct ABV measurements and manage the separation of heads, hearts, and tails during distillation.
- Ensure proper functioning of steam, condenser, and cooling water systems for distillation processes.
- Adhere to GMP, SOP, and safety procedures to uphold quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and maintain distillation equipment, including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and pipelines.
- Perform quality control checks and monitor processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Record production data, maintain logs, and assist in inventory management as needed.
