About the role

A model that works in a notebook is only the beginning. The real skill is knowing why it works, where it fails and how to make it better. As a Machine Learning Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will take part in the full cycle, from raw data to a trained, tested and explained model. You will work on practical business problems and learn how machine learning is applied outside the classroom.

This is a hands-on, full-time remote internship for people who enjoy experimenting, comparing results and improving them step by step.

What you will do

• Collect, clean and preprocess data for model training
• Engineer useful features from raw data
• Train and evaluate models such as regression, classification and clustering using Scikit-learn
• Compare different algorithms and record what worked and what did not
• Tune model parameters and check for overfitting and bias
• Measure performance with the right metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall and F1 score
• Help package simple model demos so the team can try them out
• Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for

• Good working knowledge of Python, including Pandas and NumPy
• Understanding of core machine learning concepts and common algorithms
• Comfort with basic maths and statistics
• Familiarity with Scikit-learn is a plus
• Exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus, not a must
• A curious mindset and patience to iterate on experiments
• A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work

Who can apply

• Students or recent graduates from B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc (CS, IT, Maths, Statistics), MCA, M.Sc or related streams
• Self-taught learners who can show their skills through Kaggle notebooks, GitHub projects or certifications
• Anyone available to work full-time for the internship duration
