About the role
Every month our claims, distribution and compliance teams ask the legal desk the same kind of question: can we do this, and what does the regulation actually say? A domestic insurance company modernising its operations team, and in particular its legal and regulatory desk, is hiring a Legal Analyst through Flexiple to answer those questions quickly and in writing.
- You would research IRDAI circulars, the Insurance Act and consumer-protection rulings, review policy wordings and distribution agreements, and keep a living register of obligations so that product and operations teams stop relying on memory. About half the work is reading and the other half is explaining what you read in two paragraphs to someone who is not a lawyer. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams in India.
- Location: Remote (India)
- 2 to 6 years in legal research, contracts or regulatory work, ideally touching insurance, banking or financial services
- LLB or LLM, with clear and concise writing
- Ability to track regulatory change and judge which changes need action
- Working Excel and comfort with contract repositories
- Patience with business teams who need the answer simplified
The conversation runs as an HR screen, a short drafting exercise, a panel with legal and compliance, and a final manager chat. We read applications once and keep strong ones in mind for later openings, so a single submission is enough for this and similar roles.
