About the role

Behind every reliable diagnosis is a lab that followed the process exactly, from the moment a sample arrived to the moment a report was released. As a Lab Technician Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will build the knowledge and documentation skills that every good laboratory depends on. This is a remote, learning-based role: you will study standard procedures, work through lab records and reporting formats, and understand how quality is maintained in a working diagnostic setup.

This is a full-time remote internship for people who are careful, methodical and interested in diagnostics and healthcare. Please note that this role does not involve hands-on sample collection or testing. It focuses on procedures, records, safety knowledge and laboratory data.

What you will do

• Study standard operating procedures for sample collection, handling, storage and transport
• Learn the correct use, calibration and maintenance routines of common laboratory equipment
• Prepare and maintain sample logs, test records and daily lab documentation
• Support the preparation of lab reports and check them for completeness and accuracy
• Learn biosafety, infection control and waste disposal protocols
• Review quality control records and flag missing or inconsistent entries
• Support laboratory data entry and reporting tasks using Excel or lab software
• Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for

• Good understanding of basic laboratory concepts, sample types and common tests
• Awareness of lab safety and quality practices
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems or Excel is a plus, not a must
• Careful, methodical working style and strong attention to detail
• Good written English for documentation and reports
• Respect for patient privacy and professional ethics
• A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work

Who can apply

• Students or recent graduates with DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc or M.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences) or related allied health streams
• Candidates with a background in pathology, diagnostics or clinical laboratory work are welcome
• Anyone available to work full-time for the internship duration
