About the Opportunity

SkillzenLoop is hiring Lab Technician Interns for freshers and entry-level candidates from DMLT, BMLT and life science backgrounds who want to build strong skills in laboratory documentation, quality records and procedure knowledge. This is a remote, learning-based internship. It does not involve collecting, handling or testing samples. The focus is on records, standard procedures, safety knowledge and laboratory data.

This role suits candidates who want to start a career in diagnostics, pathology support, quality assurance or laboratory operations.

Role Overview

As a Lab Technician Intern, you will work on structured documentation assignments based on real laboratory workflows. You will learn how sample records, quality checks and equipment logs are maintained, and how accurate paperwork keeps a diagnostic lab reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Study standard operating procedures for sample collection, labelling, storage and transport
• Maintain sample logs, test registers and daily laboratory records
• Review quality control entries and flag missing or inconsistent data
• Learn biosafety, infection control and waste disposal protocols
• Help prepare laboratory reports and check them for completeness
• Track equipment calibration and maintenance schedules in spreadsheets
• Support data entry and reporting using Excel or laboratory software
• Maintain organised documentation and follow patient privacy practices
• Who Can Apply
• Freshers, entry-level candidates, or students pursuing or completing DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc or M.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Life Sciences
• Candidates from related allied health streams who are interested in laboratory operations
• Self-driven learners comfortable with structured remote work
• Candidates available to work full-time for the internship period
• Required Skills
• Basic understanding of sample types, common tests and laboratory terminology
• Careful, accurate record keeping and attention to small errors
• Clear written English
• Respect for patient privacy and professional ethics
• A laptop, a stable internet connection and comfort with basic spreadsheets
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
• Familiarity with Excel or a laboratory information system
• Exposure to a pathology or diagnostic lab through training or an earlier internship
• Awareness of NABL or other quality standards
