About the role

Hospitals, labs and clinics generate a huge amount of data every day: admissions, test volumes, billing records, turnaround times. Most of it sits unused. As a Healthcare Data Analyst Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will turn that data into clear reports that show what is working, what is slowing things down and where costs can be reduced. You will work with healthcare-style datasets and learn how analysts support better decisions in a sector where accuracy matters.

This is a hands-on, full-time remote internship for people who enjoy analysis and are interested in how healthcare operations run.

What you will do

• Collect, clean and organise healthcare datasets such as patient visits, billing records and lab or pharmacy data
• Write SQL queries to extract the exact data needed for reports
• Build reports and dashboards in Excel, Power BI or Google Looker Studio
• Track trends in case volumes, costs, turnaround times and operational performance
• Check data for errors, duplicates and missing values before reporting
• Follow data privacy practices and work only with anonymised or approved data
• Write short summaries that explain findings in plain language to non-technical teams
• Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for

• Good working knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts)
• Basic SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, filters)
• Interest in healthcare, life sciences or hospital operations
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or Python is a plus, not a must
• Understanding of medical terms or healthcare processes is a plus
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and respect for data confidentiality
• A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work

• Students or recent graduates from B.Pharm, D.Pharm, Pharm.D, B.Sc or M.Sc (Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Statistics), BHM, MHA, B.Tech, BCA, MCA, BBA or related streams
• Self-taught learners who can show their skills through a dashboard, project or certification
• Anyone available to work full-time for the internship duration
