About the company
Client is an India-based social commerce app. Acquisition is working, but new users don't stick around or keep buying. You'll be brought in for a focused, short engagement to unblock this part of the product roadmap.
What you'll do
- Audit current new-user journeys and find where activation and retention drop off
- Design and redesign user journeys that build habits and drive repeat purchases
- Connect growth marketing funnels to onboarding, so acquired users land in the right journeys
- Run fast experiments, including building lightweight prototypes and features (AI-assisted tools welcome). These are for testing, not production. The in-house tech team takes over what works.
- Work directly with the CEO/CMO and alongside the engineering lead
Success metrics
- New-user retention at Day 5, Day 15 and two weeks
- Repeat buying behaviour among new users
Requirements
- Senior product or growth experience in consumer mobile apps, with proven results improving retention and engagement
- Background in at least one of: gaming, group buying/social commerce, e-commerce
- Strong grasp of consumer psychology and habit formation (loops, triggers, rewards)
- Hands-on enough to build and ship quick experiments yourself
- Comfortable working autonomously and delivering within weeks
- Fluent English
Nice to have
- Experience with Indian consumers or similar emerging markets
- Has done short, intervention-style or fractional growth engagements before
