Job Title: Global Illustration & Homologation Specialist
Job Description
This role focuses on creating high-quality assembly illustrations, engine and powertrain component illustrations, and homologation drawings that support vehicle development and approval processes. You will transform complex technical specifications into clear, visually engaging content using industry-standard tools, while collaborating closely with global design and engineering teams in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed assembly illustrations that clearly depict components, assemblies, and sequences for vehicle systems.
- Develop engine and powertrain component illustrations that accurately represent functionality, interfaces, and assembly order.
- Produce homologation drawings that support regulatory and compliance documentation for vehicles and components.
- Translate vehicle architecture and technical specifications into visually engaging illustrations that support design, engineering, and documentation needs.
- Use Catia Composer to generate detailed vehicle illustrations and visual content for design and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to visualize vehicle concepts and ensure illustrations accurately reflect design intent.
- Utilize 3DX, Teamcenter, and Vis-Mockup for design reviews, data access, and visualization of vehicle structures and components.
- Apply Photoshop for image editing, enhancement, and creation of high-quality visual assets that support the vehicle design process.
- Work effectively with global, regional, and local colleagues to manage relationships and ensure alignment on illustration and homologation requirements.
- Use MS Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to prepare presentations, reports, and documentation related to illustration and homologation work.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work with non-CAD tools as required by project needs.
- Apply analytical skills to interpret technical data, identify issues, and improve the clarity and accuracy of illustrations and drawings.
- Essential Skills
- Proven experience creating assembly illustrations, engine and powertrain component illustrations, and homologation drawings.
- Strong understanding of vehicle architecture, including major systems and their interactions.
- Ability to interpret and represent engine and powertrain component functionality and assembly sequences in visual form.
- Proficiency in Catia Composer for generating detailed vehicle illustrations.
- Experience using 3DX, Teamcenter, and Vis-Mockup for design visualization and reviews.
- Proficiency in Photoshop for image editing and creation of high-quality visual assets.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and related illustration tools.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative environment.
- Capability to work in an international environment and manage relationships with global, regional, and local employees.
- Good analytical skills to interpret technical information and improve illustration quality.
- Willingness to work with non-CAD tools as required.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with homologation processes and documentation for vehicles or components.
- Vehicle design, automotive engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Familiarity with broader Adobe Creative Suite tools beyond Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to present technical information visually and verbally to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical illustrations and drawings. The role involves extensive use of digital tools, including Catia Composer, 3DX, Teamcenter, Vis-Mockup, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and MS Office applications.
