About the role

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Product Engineer for SGT-50 Gas Turbines, you will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of gas turbine components and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, reliability, and maintainability while supporting ongoing engineering activities and product lifecycle management.

Your role will involve engineering design, technical analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with manufacturing, service, and quality teams to deliver effective solutions for Siemens Energy’s gas turbine products.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Develop and modify SGT-50 gas turbine components and subsystems, supporting product improvements and engineering change initiatives.
  • Analyze operational and test data, perform root cause investigations, and troubleshoot technical issues to improve product reliability and performance.
  • Create and maintain technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials, engineering reports, and other product documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, field service, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability, serviceability, and continuous process improvement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, product engineering, or a similar engineering role.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, turbomachinery, or gas turbine products is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools such as Siemens NX or AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, engineering design processes, and systems engineering.
  • Experience performing engineering analysis, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and technical problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

You will be part of the Engineering team supporting the SGT-50 Gas Turbine product line. The team is responsible for product engineering, technical support, continuous improvement, and sustaining engineering activities that ensure reliable and efficient turbine operation.

Working in a collaborative and technically driven environment, you will partner with global engineering, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to deliver innovative solutions and maintain the strong performance of Siemens Energy’s gas turbine portfolio.
