Job Brief: Join JSW Steel Limited's Steel Melting Shop 2 as a key operational team member responsible for overseeing and managing frontline activities in the steel melting process. This role demands hands-on supervision of melting operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize process efficiency, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain equipment reliability in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of steel melting processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate shop floor activities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the Steel Melting Shop 2 to ensure smooth and efficient melting processes.
• Monitor furnace performance and melting parameters to maintain product quality and meet production schedules.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all shop floor personnel.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and timely repairs of melting equipment.
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost reduction.
• Train and mentor junior staff and operators on operational procedures, safety standards, and quality control measures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies related to emissions and waste management.
• Coordinate with quality control teams to promptly address any deviations or defects in the melting process.
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports and documentation for management review.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within the steel melting operations.

Preferred Qualifications
