Role: Forward Deployment Engineer

Location: Perungudi, Chennai

Role Overview

We are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to work closely with customers, product teams, and engineering teams to deploy, integrate, configure, and support technology solutions in real-world environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers and internal teams to understand technical requirements and deployment needs.
• Support the deployment, configuration, integration, and customization of software solutions.
• Assist in translating business and customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, API, and deployment-related issues.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs and web services.
• Write scripts or small automation utilities to simplify deployment and operational processes.
• Perform application testing, validation, and troubleshooting before and after deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve technical issues.
• Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilots, demos, and customer implementations.
• Monitor deployed applications and assist in identifying performance and reliability issues.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and configuration documents.
• Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate product improvement requirements to relevant teams.
• Ensure deployments are completed within agreed timelines while maintaining quality and security standards.
• Travel to customer locations when required.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Software Engineering, Implementation, Deployment, Solutions Engineering, Technical Support, or a similar role.
• Good programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, Java, or any similar programming language.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, web services, and system integrations.
• Good understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices will be an advantage.
• Understanding of software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong ownership, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to travel based on project requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
