Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Job Summary

Trida Labs is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to lead the technical deployment of its AI-native analytics platform within customer environments. The role combines software engineering, applied AI and client engagement.

The successful candidate will implement TridaPad, AgentSQL and the TridaPad MCP Server for enterprise customers, configure them against customer data systems, and ensure measurable business outcomes. Insights gathered from deployments will inform the company's product and AI roadmap.

• TridaPad – an AI-native SQL workspace offering shared queries, governance, role-based access control, integrated visualisation and connectivity to more than 50 data sources, available as a cloud or self-hosted deployment.
• AgentSQL – an agentic analytics solution that interprets natural-language requests to generate schema-aware SQL, build dashboards and surface insights, with built-in guardrails and validation.
• TridaPad MCP Server – a Model Context Protocol server that exposes TridaPad capabilities to AI clients such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor, secured through per-user authentication and SQL safety controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Deployment and Integration
• Deploy and configure TridaPad and the TridaPad MCP Server across customer cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise environments using containerised infrastructure.
• Integrate customer data platforms, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks, and optimise schema mapping and query performance.
• Implement authentication, role-based access control and data-security configurations in line with customer policies.

Applied AI Engineering

• Configure and tune AgentSQL for each customer, including schema context, business definitions, prompt design and guardrails, to ensure accurate and safe SQL generation.
• Design and implement agentic workflows that connect TridaPad MCP tools with large language model clients for reporting, alerting and self-service analytics.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure SQL accuracy, response latency and failure patterns, and drive continuous improvement.
• Customer Engagement
• Conduct technical discovery sessions to translate business requirements into defined use cases and solution designs.
• Deliver product demonstrations, proofs of concept and production rollouts.
• Lead user onboarding and training, and prepare deployment runbooks and technical documentation.
• Product Feedback
• Communicate field insights, defects and feature requirements to product and engineering teams.
• Contribute reusable connectors, templates and enhancements to the core platform.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including the development of RESTful services using FastAPI or equivalent frameworks.
• Sound knowledge of SQL, including joins, window functions, common table expressions and query optimisation.
• Practical experience developing applications with large language model APIs, including prompt engineering, tool/function calling, structured outputs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Working knowledge of Docker, Linux and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, or developing AI agents using Claude, LangChain, LangGraph or similar frameworks.
• Exposure to text-to-SQL systems or semantic layers such as dbt, LookML or Cube.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, including Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or Redshift.
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks for LLM output quality.
• Working knowledge of Next.js, React or TypeScript.
• Relevant industry certifications in AI platforms or cloud technologies.
• Prior experience in client-facing, consulting or solutions engineering roles.
