Job Purpose

TO support SH Planning & Geology in plaaning and ensuring supply of qualitative limestone to the plant and additional searching of limestone reserves and resources to enhance mines life and meet plant requirement within set environment & safety standards.

Job Context

Bela Cement Works is located 220 km from Jabalpur and 18 Km for Rewa Madhya Pradesh, around 06 kms from National Highway No 7 & 30. It has a cement manufacturing capacity of 2.6 MTPA and clinker capacity of 2.1MTPA. Bela plant is 6700 TPD, 6 Stage 2 String, SLC pre-heater plant which is engineered, manufactured and supplied by M/s Larsen and Toubro Limited (FLS) and commissioned in the year of 1996. The original capacity of this plant was 4500 TPD, and in the year 2003 it was upgraded to 6700 TPD. The unit has cement grinding capacity as well as clinker export facility.Limestone requirement of the plant is 3.1 MTPA. To meet the limestone requirement, limestone mines are spread over 649 Ha having deposits sufficient for around 40 years. Limestone crusher with capacity of 900 TPH, located inside plant. Material is transported from mine to plant through Dumpers.The Unit has one captive thermal power plant of 25 MW in addition to 5 MVA Grid Power Connection with SEB to cater the entire power requirement of the unit. Plant has a private railway siding for its inbound/outbound material, fuel, cement and clinker movement. Water requirement of plant is catered from water harvesting pits in mines.

KRA1 1. Blend Planning

To assist mine operation to achieve required quantity and quality of limestone in the shifts as per the quality requirement

• Prepares the blend plan for shift operation.
• Lists out availability of limestone with quality at different locations and pit wise.
• Regularly monitoring
• Effectively blending of pits to maintain quality of limestone
• KRA2 2. Mine Development
• Prepare plan for mine development as per the mining scheme such that it helps optimization of reserves maintaining quality of limestone
• Prepares the development plan in line with the mining scheme.
• Demarcate the development area for next year.
• KRA3 3. Quality Management
• Co-ordinate Mining Sampling and quality feedback.
• Adherence to Mining Scheme and Mine closure Plan
• Track reserve status with quality periodically by means of softwares.
• Supervision for collection, preparation and analysis of samples and feedback to Planning Cell.
• Additional core drilling, preparation & analysis of samples..
• Yearly cross checking of pit advancement as per mining scheme.
• Feedback to peers for adherence of mining scheme/closure plan for pit position, reclamation & environment parameters as per environment management plan of Scheme.
• Operation and continuous use of mining soft wares
• KRA4 4. Statutory Compliance
• Adhere and coordinate for compliance of statutory requirement
• Environment monitoring of core and buffer zone of mine area and compliance of the same as per environment clearance conditions of MoEF, consent conditions of MPPCB.
• Monitoring of Mine Survey as per statutory and internal requirement
• Ensure Filing of monthly returns
• Ensure compliances related to environment.
• Regular collection of samples and analysis thru outsource agency for ambient air, water samples, etc.
• Monitoring of field survey and ensuring timely preparation of plans/sections.
• Submission & uploading SDU for Star Rating
