About the role

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to oversee financial control and governance, accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, statutory compliance, audits, cash-flow management, and financial risk. The role will support senior management with accurate financial information and business-focused financial insights.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls, policies, procedures, and approval mechanisms.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
  • Review P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow statements, reconciliations, and management accounts.
  • Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, inventory, and working capital.
  • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, accounting standards, and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with statutory, internal, tax, and other auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Identify financial risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead and supervise the finance and accounting team and improve team productivity.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement in finance processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management for business decisions.
  • Support investment analysis, cost optimization, pricing analysis, and financial risk assessment.
  • Oversee ERP and financial reporting systems and ensure accuracy of financial data.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • Prior experience as Finance Controller, Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or in a senior finance management role preferred.
  • CA / CMA / CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, taxation, internal controls, and audit.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
  • Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work closely with senior management and challenge financial processes and information where required.
