About the role
Purpose of the Role
To support the creation, validation, and maintenance of product and process documentation related to Engineering Change Management (ECM) activities. The role ensures that documentation is accurate, compliant with KKG standards, and released on time to support production readiness, quality compliance, and traceability.
The Engineer contributes to engineering change implementation, documentation standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and supporting projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain product and process documentation in accordance with KKG standards and Engineering Change Management (ECM) requirements and Projects.
- Support implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) by ensuring documentation accuracy, completeness, and timely release.
- Prepare and update Work Instructions (WI), Product Work Instructions (PWI), labels, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Validate documentation against BOM structures, engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Perform WI/PWI versus BOM alignment checks and support resolution of documentation discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to support engineering change implementation.
- Participate in peer reviews, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance documentation quality and process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with document control procedures, quality requirements, and internal governance standards.
- Support migration, conversion, and maintenance of product documentation in PLM and ERP systems.
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes and product documentation practices.
- Understanding of BOM structures (EBOM, MBOM, PBOM), manufacturing processes, and work instructions.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Experience in creating, updating, and validating technical documentation using defined standards and templates.
- Familiarity with document validation activities, including BOM alignment and production readiness checks.
- Working knowledge of PLM and ERP systems such as Windchill, ePM, and Microsoft D365.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional and global stakeholders.
- Commitment to quality, compliance, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related field).
Relevant Experience Required
- 1-3 years of experience.
