Development Test Engineer

Frigga Cloud Labs is hiring a Development Test Engineer for a combined product-development and testing role.

You will use our existing developer products to build new applications and features on open-source codebases. While developing, you will evaluate how the product performs in real development workflows and identify issues in its algorithms, outputs, and features.

This is not a manual QA role. It requires hands-on development, codebase understanding, debugging, and structured product testing.

Responsibilities

• •⁠ ⁠Build applications and features on open-source codebases using Frigga products
• •⁠ ⁠Understand unfamiliar repositories, architecture, and application workflows
• •⁠ ⁠Test product features through practical software-development tasks
• •⁠ ⁠Identify issues in algorithms, generated outputs, context retrieval, and product workflows
• •⁠ ⁠Reproduce and document defects with clear technical evidence
• •⁠ ⁠Verify fixes and perform regression testing
• •⁠ ⁠Share structured feedback with the product and engineering teams

Requirements

• •⁠ ⁠1–3 years of software-development experience
• •⁠ ⁠Strong programming and debugging fundamentals
• •⁠ ⁠Experience working with Git, APIs, databases, and existing codebases
• •⁠ ⁠Ability to independently build a functional application or feature
• •⁠ ⁠Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• •⁠ ⁠Ability to document technical issues clearly
• •⁠ ⁠Experience with developer tools, AI coding tools, or open-source projects is an advantage

Candidates will be evaluated on their development ability, product understanding, testing approach, quality of investigation, and clarity of reporting.
