Why this role exists

Medinex Workforce keeps a lot of information in databases: candidate records, client requirements, placement history, billing data. Every report and every tool depends on queries that pull the right rows quickly and correctly. A slow or wrong query means a recruiter waits or a manager sees the wrong number. As a Database Intern, you will write and improve those queries, and you will learn why one query returns in a second while another takes a minute.

• Your day-to-day
• Write SQL queries using joins, subqueries, aggregations and window functions
• Create views and stored procedures for tasks the team repeats
• Design small, well-structured tables with proper keys and relationships
• Find slow queries and improve them using indexes and better query design
• Prepare clean data extracts for reporting and analytics teams
• Check data for duplicates, missing values and inconsistencies
• Share progress in daily check-ins and a weekly review
• You are a good fit if
• You are strong in SQL basics (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, subqueries)
• You have worked with MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server
• You understand primary keys, foreign keys and normalisation
• You think in a logical, structured way
• You double-check results before sharing them
• You have a laptop and a stable internet connection for full-time remote work
• Nice to have, not required
• Knowledge of indexes and query execution plans
• Basic Excel or Python skills
• A SQL practice profile on HackerRank or LeetCode, or a database project

Who can apply

• Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), MCA, B.Com or any stream with strong SQL skills
• Self-taught learners who can show their skills through practice projects or certificates
• Freshers are welcome, and prior work experience is not required
• You must be available to work full-time for the internship period
