About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely with a leading AI lab in evaluating and enhancing the capabilities of advanced artificial intelligence systems. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data science, statistics, or related fields, with proven experience in top-tier organizations. A minimum of one year of professional experience within the past seven years is required, preferably in technology, finance, research, or similar environments. Candidates should hold an undergraduate degree from a top-ranked university and demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative reasoning skills. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for clear communication of complex technical concepts. Candidates must also exhibit the ability to evaluate sophisticated statistical and machine learning methodologies and identify subtle errors in analytical approaches.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs across a range of data science, statistics, machine learning, and quantitative reasoning problems to determine accuracy and effectiveness.
• Create expert-level prompts and datasets designed specifically to assess the advanced capabilities of AI models.
• Develop precise reference solutions for complex data science and statistical challenges to benchmark AI performance.
• Identify flawed methodologies, statistical errors, and weaknesses in the reasoning processes of AI systems.
• Assess the validity and quality of analytical approaches generated by AI models, ensuring they meet rigorous standards.
• Review model outputs for technical accuracy, logical consistency, and sound statistical reasoning, providing detailed feedback for improvements.
• Communicate technical findings and insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Apply strong quantitative judgment in evaluating experimental designs, analytical methods, and data-driven conclusions.
