Sr. Software Data engineer (Snowflake, Python & SQL, React)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Development, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Development.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Snowflake development.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes.
• Experience building modern web applications using React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, and AI-powered application development.
• Experience with Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Stored Procedures, Snowpark, and Dynamic Tables.
• Strong understanding of Data Modeling, Data Governance, and Data Quality principles.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, including services like S3, Lambda, Glue, ECS, or Bedrock.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions using Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for processing large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
• Develop modern web applications and data-driven interfaces using React.
• Leverage AI/ML technologies, including Generative AI and LLM integrations, to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency.
• Work within Agile development teams, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
• Design and implement Snowflake data architectures, including Tasks, Streams, Dynamic Tables, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for application and data platform deployments.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, testing strategies, monitoring, and data governance practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across projects.
• Analyze business and customer data to generate insights for decision-making and audience targeting initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Analytics, AI, and Engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Strong experience in Python for data engineering, automation, API development, and backend services.

• Experience integrating AI solutions, including Generative AI, LLM APIs, vector databases, RAG architectures, and intelligent automation.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application development.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
