About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain reliable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS, SQL, Python, and data engineering technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Work with AWS services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Lambda.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data processing and analytics.
  • Develop data transformation workflows using Python.
  • Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality or processing issues.
  • Work with structured and semi-structured datasets.
  • Implement data validation and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, software engineers, and business teams.
  • Follow security, access-control, and data governance best practices.
  • Document data pipelines, processes, and technical solutions.
  • Required Skills
  • 1–3 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, or Lambda is preferred.
  • Understanding of databases and data warehousing.
  • Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred

  • AWS certification or willingness to pursue an AWS certification.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, Airflow, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud security and IAM.
  • Experience working with large datasets.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
