About the Company

Thinknova is offering a structured remote internship for freshers who want to begin a career in cybersecurity. The internship provides practical exposure to identifying security risks, reviewing security controls, and supporting the protection of systems, networks, and data.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and documenting potential security vulnerabilities in authorized systems and testing environments.
• Review security logs and alerts to help identify suspicious activity.
• Support vulnerability assessments and track remediation activities under supervision.
• Assist in reviewing access permissions, system configurations, and basic security controls.
• Research common threats, vulnerabilities, and preventive measures.
• Support the preparation of security reports, incident documentation, and awareness materials.
• Follow confidentiality requirements and conduct security testing only within approved scope.
• Work collaboratively with remote team members and complete assigned deliverables on time.

Requirements

• Suitable for freshers with an interest in cybersecurity, information security, networking, or a related area.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and information security concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows security, and common web vulnerabilities is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of tools such as Wireshark or Nmap, or scripting with Python or Bash, is beneficial.
• A responsible approach to handling sensitive information and following authorized testing procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines responsibly.

This is a paid, remote internship with a duration of 3 months and a performance-based stipend of up to ₹10,000.
