About the role

Every organisation has weak spots. The question is whether the people who find them are on your side or not. As a Cyber Security Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will learn how defenders think: how to review systems, spot risks early and explain them clearly so they get fixed before they cause damage. You will work in a controlled, authorised setup, practise on approved lab environments and learn the habits that responsible security professionals follow.

This is a hands-on, full-time remote internship for people who are curious about how systems fail, disciplined enough to stay within ethical and legal limits and patient enough to document what they find.

What you will do

• Learn and apply vulnerability assessment methods on approved lab systems and test environments
• Review network, server and application configurations for common security gaps
• Use security tools such as Nmap, Wireshark and Burp Suite Community in authorised practice setups
• Study common threats such as phishing, malware behaviour, weak passwords and misconfigurations
• Help monitor logs and alerts, and note unusual activity for senior team members
• Write clear risk reports with simple, practical recommendations for fixing each issue
• Support security awareness material and basic policy documentation
• Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for

• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, firewalls)
• Working comfort with the Linux command line
• Awareness of common vulnerabilities such as those in the OWASP Top 10
• Familiarity with security tools or practice platforms such as TryHackMe or Hack The Box is a plus
• Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+ or similar are a plus, not a must
• Strong ethics, discipline and respect for authorisation and confidentiality
• A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work

• Final-year students or recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), MCA, diploma programs or related streams
• Self-taught learners who can show their skills through practice platform profiles, write-ups, projects or certifications
• Anyone available to work full-time for the internship duration
