About the role

Okay Done is a digital marketing agency with a diverse clientele, such as Royal Challengers Bengaluru, OnePlus, VRL, Google, Bengaluru City Police, Heineken, and Health Care Global to name a few. We work across sports, consumer, hospitality, luxury, F&B, real estate, and D2C.

Before you scroll further, a fair warning.

At Okay Done, every piece of work starts with a Content Strategist. The idea, the angle, the words. Our designers, editors, and videographers are brilliant at bringing ideas to life, and this role decides which ideas are worth it. So this application isn't a formality. It's the first brief you'll ever do for us.

And like any brief, we can tell in three seconds whether someone cared.

Low-effort applications will never be considered. One-line answers, copy-pasted ChatGPT responses, and "please refer to my resume" will not be considered.

So here's the deal: read the JD all the way through. If you're not 100% sure you want this job, close the tab. No hard feelings.

But if you are, go all in. The people who put in the extra effort always stand out, and we notice every single one of them. This form is your first pitch to us. Make it the one we can't say no to.

The role, in one line

Every scroll-stopping idea on our brands' pages starts with you.

Overview

We're looking for a Content Strategist whose job is simple to say and hard to do: think, crack the idea, and write it.

You'll own the creative thinking for a cluster of brands. You spot what's happening in culture, turn it into concepts that could only belong to that brand, and write every word that carries them: hooks, captions, scripts, and ad copy. Then you brief our production team (designers, editors, and videographers) and make sure what they make matches what you imagined.

Our Social Media Managers run the pages: calendars, posting, community, and reporting. You're the idea engine behind them. They tell you what the brand needs this month. You give them work worth posting.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Bengaluru.

What you'll do

Think

  • Live on Instagram, YouTube, and wherever culture is moving. Know what's trending, why it's working, and whether a brand has any business touching it.
  • Go deep on every brand you handle: its audience, its voice, its category, and what makes it different.
  • Find the insight before you find the idea. Anyone can copy a trend. We want the reason it fits.

Concept

  • Crack original concepts for reels, posts, campaigns, and brand moments.
  • Adapt trends and formats so they feel native to each brand, not borrowed.
  • Develop ad concepts for paid campaigns: hooks that stop the scroll, angles that sell, and variations worth testing.
  • Lead brainstorms and turn a blank page into ten ideas worth making.

Write

  • Write hooks, captions, reel scripts, on-screen text, and ad copy.
  • Write scripts and shot breakdowns for video, and be on set when the idea needs you there.
  • Adapt your voice from a neighbourhood bar to a luxury resort to a national sports franchise, sometimes in the same afternoon.

Bring it to life

  • Brief designers, editors, and videographers so clearly that the first draft lands close to final.
  • Review the output of your concepts and push it until it matches the idea.

Back the SMMs

  • Feed the Social Media Managers a steady flow of concepts and copy for their calendars.
  • Jump in when a brand needs a quick idea for a moment, a trend, or a reactive post.
  • Look at what performed with them, and use it to sharpen the next round of ideas.

Who we're looking for

  • 2+ years in a creative, content, or copywriting role, ideally at an agency.
  • Someone who can think and write. An idea without the words is half done. Words without an idea are just decoration.
  • A portfolio of social-first concepts and copy, with thinking you can explain.
  • Experience writing video scripts and briefing designers and editors.
  • An instinct for what makes people stop, watch, share, and comment.
  • Range. You can be funny, premium, emotional, and punchy, and know which one the brand needs.
