Medinex Workforce works closely with the healthcare sector, and healthcare runs on accurate records. Every consultation, test and procedure ends up as a set of codes, and those codes decide how a claim is processed and how a patient file is read later. As a Clinical Coding Intern, you will learn how medical documents are turned into correct codes, and you will build a skill that is in steady demand across hospitals, billing companies and insurers.
Your day-to-day
- Read discharge summaries, operative notes and physician records
- Assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines
- Check charts for missing details and documentation gaps
- Follow coding rules, payer guidelines and compliance standards
- Maintain a daily coding log and work towards accuracy and turnaround targets
- Take part in quality audits and learn from feedback on every coded chart
- Keep all patient information strictly confidential
You are a good fit if
- You know medical terminology and basic human anatomy
- You have a life science, pharmacy, nursing or allied health background
- You pay close attention to detail and work methodically
- You read English well and understand clinical language
- You respect patient privacy and professional ethics
- You have a laptop and a stable internet connection for full-time remote work
Nice to have, not required
- Prior exposure to ICD-10 or CPT (training will be provided)
- A medical coding course or certificate, completed or in progress
- Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets

- Final-year students and recent graduates from life sciences, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, Pharm.D, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, nursing, microbiology, biotechnology and other allied health streams
- Candidates who have completed or are pursuing a medical coding course are welcome
- Freshers are welcome, and prior work experience is not required
- You must be available to work full-time for the internship period
