Who is hiring

A domestic insurance company is modernising its policy servicing operations and has asked Flexiple to find a Business Analyst for a team of about twelve. The company writes health and motor policies through agents and a growing online channel, and much of its servicing still runs on spreadsheets, email and a ten-year-old policy administration system. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams in India.

What the analyst is there to fix

Renewals, endorsements and claim intimations pass through too many hands. Operations leaders know where the delays sit but cannot yet prove it with numbers. You will map how work actually flows, quantify the leakage, and turn it into requirements that the technology and vendor teams can build against.

What you will do day to day

• Sit with servicing, underwriting and claims staff to document current processes and where they break
• Write business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for changes to the policy administration and CRM systems
• Build simple models and dashboards on turnaround time, rework and customer complaints, and present them to the operations head
• Run user acceptance testing cycles with the business and track defects to closure
• Prepare change notes and training material before each release goes live
• Keep requirements aligned with IRDAI circulars and internal audit observations

Who we would like to meet

• 3 to 6 years as a business analyst, ideally in insurance, banking or another regulated service business
• Comfort with SQL and Excel, and a working knowledge of a process-mapping or documentation tool
• Clear writing; your requirement documents should survive a vendor reading them without you in the room
• A habit of asking why a step exists before suggesting it is removed

Helpful but not essential

• Experience with a policy administration or claims platform
• Familiarity with Power BI or a similar reporting tool
• CBAP or a similar certification
