You will build the APIs and services that power the product's core workflows. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.Role OverviewAs a Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and operate the services and APIs that sit behind the product, with a strong focus on correctness, performance, and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesAPI & Services DevelopmentDesign and build REST or GraphQL APIs consumed by web and mobile clientsModel data and write efficient queries against relational and NoSQL storesWrite integration and unit tests that catch regressions before they shipPerformance & ReliabilityProfile and optimise slow endpoints and background jobsInstrument services with logging, metrics, and alertsParticipate in an on-call rotation and resolve production incidentsIdeal Candidate Profile2 to 6 years building backend services in a language such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.jsStrong understanding of relational databases, indexing, and query performanceExperience designing and versioning APIs used by multiple client applicationsClear written and spoken English and a reliable remote-work setupPreferred QualificationsExposure to message queues or event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)A degree in computer science or a related fieldWhat We OfferA backend engineer seat at a VC-backed SaaS company's founding India teamRemote-friendly, pan-India hiring with long-term placementDirect ownership of services that sit on the product's critical pathOne application considered for this and future matched rolesHiring ProcessHR Screening → Technical Assessment → Technical Round 1 → Technical Round 2 → Culture Fit
