About the role

Users never see the logic that keeps an application running, but they notice immediately when it fails. As a Backend Developer Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will build the part of the product that works behind the screen: the APIs, the database logic and the security checks that keep everything fast, correct and safe. You will work on real services and learn how professional backend teams design, test and maintain them.

This is a hands-on, full-time remote internship for people who enjoy logic, structure and building systems that other developers and applications depend on.

What you will do

• Build and maintain REST APIs using Node.js, Python or Java
• Design database tables and collections, and write queries in SQL or NoSQL databases
• Implement user login, token-based authentication and role-based access control
• Validate incoming data and handle errors so the system fails gracefully
• Write unit and API tests to catch problems before they reach users
• Test endpoints using tools such as Postman and fix issues found
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and take part in code reviews
• Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for

• Basic backend knowledge in Node.js, Python or Java
• Clear understanding of how HTTP, REST APIs and JSON work
• Basic knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git is a plus
• Knowledge of JWT, Docker or cloud deployment is a plus, not a must
• Careful, logical coding habits and patience when debugging
• A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work
