Summary

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end underwriting change and transformation initiatives across UK & European markets within regulated insurance environments.
- Partner with underwriting, technology, data, and operations teams to define target-state operating models and deliver impactful business and technical solutions.
- Drive agile, hybrid, and product-based delivery methodologies, facilitating sprint ceremonies, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across underwriting, actuarial, risk, compliance, and IT functions to align on transformation priorities.
- Lead business readiness and change management initiatives, including impact assessments, training needs analysis, communications planning, and adoption tracking.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and delivery roadblocks across onshore and offshore teams.
- Translate complex underwriting requirements into functional specifications and user stories, working closely with data, AI, and engineering teams on acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate AI, Generative AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation use cases within underwriting workflows, building business cases aligned with responsible AI governance.
- Conduct current-state process mapping, gap analysis, and data flow assessments to design scalable future-state underwriting platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience delivering complex change or transformation programs in regulated environments, with direct exposure to insurance underwriting operations in UK & European markets.
- Strong functional understanding of the end-to-end policy lifecycle, risk assessment, pricing, bordereaux management, and reinsurance processes.
- Proven hands-on delivery experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban, as well as hybrid delivery models.
- Practical knowledge of structured change management and business readiness methodologies such as Prosci and ADKAR.
- Experience supporting or executing digital, data, AI/GenAI, or intelligent automation initiatives in insurance or financial services domains.
- High proficiency in stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional workshop facilitation.
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and governance frameworks in the insurance sector.
