Automation Engineer (Playwright & Mobile Automation) - 4+ Years Experience
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in test automation to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Playwright and TypeScript, experience with mobile automation across Android and iOS devices, and the ability to execute tests using BrowserStack or similar device farms. The candidate should be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering high-quality automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing across web, Android, and iOS devices.
- Execute and manage automation suites using BrowserStack or other cloud-based device farms.
- Debug automation failures, analyze root causes, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and support automated build and release processes.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and identify functional gaps.
- Ensure test coverage, quality standards, and timely delivery of automation activities.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned tasks and drive them independently to completion.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- • 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Experience in mobile automation testing for Android and iOS platforms.
- Knowledge of executing Playwright automation scripts on mobile devices through BrowserStack or similar device farms.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, Git commands, version control, and branching strategies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Ability to understand business requirements and proactively identify functional gaps and risks.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
