Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Compliance professional with experience in US Mortgage Lending, Mortgage Servicing, Consumer Banking, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or Quality Assurance to support enterprise compliance and risk management programs.
This role provides a n opportunity to leverage existing mortgage compliance expertise while expanding into broader areas such as Regulatory Change Management, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Issue Management, Privacy, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and AI-enabled compliance solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US regulatory requirements, risk assessment methodologies, control environments, and compliance monitoring activities .
Primary Responsibilities
- • Conduct vendor and third-party compliance reviews.
- Review due diligence documentation and identify potential compliance or privacy concerns.
- Assist in monitoring third-party regulatory and risk obligations.
- Prepare assessment summaries and recommendations.
- Monitor and track compliance issues, findings, regulatory observations, and corrective action plans.
- Review issue status updates, remediation timelines, and aging reports.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of identified compliance concerns.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Assess applicability of new and changing regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance impact assessments and implementation activities.
- Maintain regulatory inventories, obligations, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of controls designed to address regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory traceability and governance initiatives.
- Participate in risk assessments and control evaluations.
- Review control design and operating effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to maintain risk and control inventories.
- Identify control gaps and support remediation efforts.
- Strong documentation skills to clearly articulate alert disposition
- Adherence to controls and compliance standards
Key Competencies
- Graduate equivalent education
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Mortgage Compliance, Consumer Banking Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Compliance.
- Good knowledge of regulations is a must
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience reviewing regulatory requirements and evaluating business controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with Archer or other GRC platforms.
- Experience supporting risk assessments or control testing.
- Exposure to Third-Party Risk Management.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled compliance solutions and process automation tools.
