Associate Consultant

Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering (or a related field).

Technical Requirements

• Technical Development & Automation
• Scripting & Tool Development: Develop and maintain automation scripts (primarily in Python and Tcl/Tk) to automate pre-processing, solving, and post-processing workflows.
• Process Integration: Build custom "wrappers" and plugins for industry-standard CAE tools (e.g., HyperWorks, Simcenter) to streamline multi-disciplinary optimization (MDO).
• API Utilization: Leverage tool APIs to create seamless data exchange between simulation environments and external databases or Excel-based engineering tools.
• Consulting & Project Management
• Requirement Gathering: Assist in technical discovery sessions with customers to identify bottlenecks in their current simulation processes.
• POC Execution: Develop rapid prototypes and POCs (e.g., for HyperWorks 2026 workflows) to demonstrate the value of automation in presales engagements.
• Documentation: Create high-quality technical documentation and user manuals for the automation tools developed.
• Quality & Innovation
• Validation: Ensure automated workflows produce results consistent with manual simulation methods through rigorous testing and validation.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest AI/ML trends in simulation and agentic workflows to improve internal Simulation Process Automation toolsets.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python is mandatory (experience with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or PyQt is a plus). Knowledge of Tcl/Tk for legacy CAE automation is highly desirable.
• Simulation Domain: Strong fundamentals in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Software Stack: Hands-on experience with at least one major CAE platform:
• Altair HyperWorks (HyperMesh, HyperView, Simlab) — Preferred
• Siemens Simcenter / NX
• STS Product automation
• Data and AI learnings

Version Control: Basic understanding of Git for managing code repositories.
